“Pitch-perfect, effortless, tight-enough, beautiful spice-shot tannin, plenty of length. Varietal fruit flavours with an undercurrent of undergrowth and assorted herbs. Unforced complexity is the way of this wine. There’s nothing ‘show pony’ about this, and that of course is a good thing.”
- 93+ points. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

"Bright cherry in colour with tones of wild strawberry, redcurrant and red cherry on a bed of fine spice, light game notes, forest floor, shiitake mushroom and fine French oak. Airy on the palate with a fine line of acidity and pure, spicy cherry fruits flitting around. Finishes pure and endearing."
- 93 points. Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion

Grown by David and Julie Llewellyn at the Priory Ridge vineyard, located between St Helens and Binalong Bay on the north east coast of Tasmania. 114/115 clone Pinot Noir planted on Devonian granite soil.

Handpicked fruit was destemmed to an open top fermenter with gentle pump overs to extract fine, soft tannins. Pressed off just before dryness and racked to French oak for ten months maturation on fine lees, with 40% new oak.

Total production 690 bottles.

Drink: 2024 to 2030+
